The Commitment

The commitment for a Communities in Bloom Evaluation Team Member is as follows:

• May – one full Saturday for Training Meeting. This is in person so you will have to commute somewhere in Alberta to the chosen location. Expenses are covered!
• July & August – for each community you visit, you can expect to spend the full day with the community members. The Evaluation Report scoring and writing, completed with your Team partner, can take up to 8 hours to complete over a period of several days. How many communities you visit is up to you. Evaluation is always done during the week, not on weekends or holidays.
• Fall – Communities in Bloom holds a Conference & Celebration – you will want to attend!
• Report Writing – the Evaluation Report is a critical tool for our communities to use. We do everything, outside of visiting communities and training, remotely. You will require access to a computer to complete reports with your judging partner in a timely manner.
